Upset Specials and I'm craving a bacon cheeseburger

Hi there.  Lots to talk about now that its been 10 days since my dental surgery which consisted of multiple extractions, a bone graft, and a post put in for an implant that takes place in the near future.  I actually came out of the surgery feeling that good that I wanted to take a fitness class at Core later that day just 7 hours after being sedated.  I've been real careful with my eating and the good thing about having the surgery is that I've lost weight since I have no desire to eat at night and chewing in general still isn't a comfortable experience.  I have been craving apple cider donuts or a bacon cheeseburger.
Upset specials first.  Another 0 fer weekend.  Iowa in Happy Valley, didn't happen.  Cardinals beating the Vikes, ditto.  First for the college where I'm going to the Big East (and what's left of the football playing schools) where the UConn Huskies are an 8 point underdog at home against the South Florida Bulls.  Take the Huskies.  Now for your pro upset special.  Carolina Panthers knock off the Atlanta Falcons on the road in the Georgia Dome.
Notes on my favorite college and pro football teams.  Rutgers first, where for the third straight year, Greg Schiano can't decide on a starting quarterback and he ends playing his back up who has happens to be a true freshman.  How can you consistently win when you can't decide who's starting week after week? The defense has been downright nasty in a good way and I am pleased with the 4 and 1 start.
As for the Giants.  Credit goes to Boomer Esiason for this observation.  The Giants have this bad habit of playing these stinkers at home.  Last year Cowboys and Eagles.  Last week an embarrassment in the Meadowlands to the Seahawks.
I feel bad for the Colts and their struggles this year without Peyton Manning.  I would be loving it more though if Tony Dungy were still coaching them.
As for the Jets and their disfunctional struggles.  It's nice to see arrogance humbled.
Whether you loved him or hated him, Al Davis was a football lifer who loved the game, his team and he did it his way.  He also was a visionary in the way offense was played and he was a big part of the NFL/AFL merger.
Those baseball picks I made were as bad as my upset specials!
Man am I sick of hearing about Dancin' with the Stars, The X-Factor, and any other lame white trash reality shows that are on tv.
Watched Tim Allen's new show, "Last Man Standing."  I was hoping for at least one little grunt for old times sake, especially when he did that vlog thing during the show.
The Big Bang Theory is been spot on really funny this year.
That Toyota Prius commercial where the 18 people come together and create one person is just plain creepy if you ask me.
Maybe I should thank Hank Williams, Jr for comparing President Obama's golf game with John Boehner this past summer to if a German dictator who slaughtered millions of innocent people for their religious beliefs played golf with the Israeli prime minister.  We won't have to hear the Monday night football theme ever again. Yes!!!!!  Are you ready for some football?! Maybe.
Brandon Kelly, the guy who threw a hot dog a Tiger Woods last weekend while he was putting during a golf tournament over the weekend did it because he wanted to do something "courageous" and "epic."  The idea came while watching the movie, "Drive." Stupid is a better word for it.
After hearing about this guy who hacked into about 50 celebrities e-mails, cell phones and other electronic devices, I have to wonder if they arrested him in moms basement typing away on his computer next to a microwave oven and freezer full of Hot Pockets.
When it comes to visionaries, I'd rank the late Steve Jobs up there with Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison.
Finally, if you want to experience something truly incredible and meet some great people, stop by 15 East Washington Street Saturday between 7am and 3pm.  It's the official Grand Opening of Core and you'll find out why I'm a gym freak.  Just to let all the gym freaks know in advance, I have no surprises up my sleeve. No arrangements edible or floral.  I did that thing in July when you didn't expect it.  However, I will be ending my exile early.  It could be as soon as two weeks or a month from now.  Just make sure to save me a spot in Combat and Pump classes O.K. guys...Leccese out.
